Control Rooms
Q2 Control Rooms employ a unified security platform that integrates all cameras, devices, sensors, and alarms into one manageable command structure. Q2 Control Rooms deliver a common operating picture that is simple to use and is computer driven and managed. The system does 90% of the load lifting and decision making which streamlines and delivers actionable content to control room personnel. Q2 delivers simple operations in each of its Control Rooms no matter how complex the integration layers that need to be visually represented.
Q2 Control is driven by a powerful rules engine that manages much of the decision making. This reduces and simplifies the procedures and operator actions to just one or two steps. The rules engine coupled with a highly simplified user interface greatly increases live surveillance response times when Q2 Control alerts personnel of an event.
A broad spectrum of detection devices and video analytics are employed to monitor and instantly trigger alerts to Control Room personnel. Q2 Control utilizes best-in-class network management that delivers full situational awareness and detailed content, leading to faster response times and reduced investigation times resulting in superior overall protection. The Control Room’s security platform features enterprise class reliability for capturing, managing, and storing high definition multi-megapixel surveillance video and intrusion alerts. Q2 Control is built on a .NET Framework tightly integrated with the Operating System to provide superior quality of service and uptime in demanding computing environments.
The Quality of Service System (QOS) offered with the Control Room is unsurpassed in the industry. Every computing platform, every monitor, every field deployed detection or surveillance device, every wireless device, and every hard network is constantly monitored. The failure and in some cases the pending or potential failure of any of these items is immediately displayed and sounded in the Control Room by QOS. Plus, designated personnel at remote locations are notified via computer pop-ups, email, or text messages. QOS ensures that no device or platform will be in failure or offline and not be noticed.
The Control Room Video Management System (VMS) includes multiple displays featuring aerial maps, GIS tracking, and live camera feeds. Audible alerts are tied to associated video pop ups on separate screens. The VMS includes simple system operation, comprehensive live and forensic review capabilities, and huge onsite storage. The workspace is designed with video walls, cabinets, racks, servers, cabling, network switches, and lighting that match up with the consoles and seating as desired by each user. Monitor content is customizable to ensure that each user’s needs are displayed in the location and manner required.
The Q2 Control Room manages the video wall’s background lighting scheme. The lighting scheme is tied to the threat level associated with the control room’s theater of operations. For example, if green is situation normal, a lighting state change to orange or red occurs when an alert takes place. Therefore, an instantly recognizable display of current conditions is ever present throughout the Control Room.
Q2’s Physical Security Information Management System (PSIM) offers integration of any number of third party devices, sensors, and systems so that communications across differing technologies is instantly noted by the PSIM and acted upon. This is the most robust capability available today employing a rules engine that permits all manner of command, control, and communications across the managed network. PSIM will manage each unique facility on a network while permitting regional or national live monitoring and scope of threat assessment like no other.
Q2’s Control Rooms may be installed permanently in field forward or home base facilities. If those facilities are not available or space is limited, Q2 will supply the Control Room built into one of Q2’s Command Centers. If a permanent location is not desired, Q2’s Mobile Command Centers are the perfect solution.
