Q2 Security Towers
Design Summary
Q2 Industrial Security Towers house a range of ‘best of breed’ perimeter (line of sight) and volume (wide-area) detection sensors hidden inside the tower structure. IP Mega-pixel cameras may be added as needed. Q2’s towers are assembled, tested and mounted to heavy duty stainless steel bases. A wireless radio system with signal and power management is built into each tower’s NEMA enclosure. Q2 towers act as nodes conveying critical security events and live video to network operations centers using built-in wireless networks.
Q2 Industrial Security Towers are especially designed to deliver reliable detection with few false alarms in extreme conditions that are frequently found at seaports, airports and other critical infrastructure sites. Q2 towers are manufactured to a variety of heights to meet application specific environment and terrain conditions. All sensor wiring and circuitry for radios, filtered power, and UPS is assembled, tested and packaged at Q2 Industrial's Sensor and Surveillance facility.
Installation
Because Q2’s towers are pre-assembled, the installation requires only mounting and power connections. The set-up requires only sensor alignment and radio testing. This simplified process greatly reduces installation time and costs.
Service
The health status of all Q2 Industrial Security Tower components are constantly monitored providing immediate service notifications to designated management and field service personnel. All tower component service is done indoors as each tower is simply unplugged and replaced with another when service is required. This greatly reduces errors and delays that are encountered in bad weather. This efficient service process increases uptime and improves reliability while lowering service costs.
